About Kyle

I’ve had the privilege of calling Fredericksburg Texas my home for 38 years, and throughout this time, my life has been deeply intertwined with the values and traditions that make the Lone Star State truly special.

My family is very important to me, especially my wife, Barbi, and together we have our seven daughters and 15 grandchildren. I understand the importance of preserving our Texas values for future generations.

My Christian faith is an important part of my life. I attend Wild Ride Ministry, a Cowboy Church in Harper, TX, and my faith guides my approach to family, business and public service.

In my professional life, I own and operate Biedermann’s Ace Hardware and Biedermann’s Paint Store in Fredericksburg, as well as, Harper Feed & Hardware in Harper.  As a small business owner, I know what it means to serve my customers and my community as well as being fiscally responsible.

I served for six years as the State Representative for Gillespie, Comal, and Kendall counties. I focused on the issues affecting hardworking individuals and seniors in my district, such as rising property taxes, water resources, the challenges associated with rapid growth, the protection of Second Amendment rights, protecting the unborn, combating unfunded state mandates on our schools, reducing overregulation, lowering taxes on our businesses, and safeguarding our God-given private property rights.

During my tenure, I was unafraid to stand alone on issues and remained uncontrolled by establishment influences, earning a TOP conservative rating in the state every session.

Here are some of my key legislative accomplishments:

  • Fought to preserve the heritage of the Alamo, safeguarding it from misguided woke agendas.
  • Successfully passed a Border Security bill with bipartisan approval and support, laying the foundation for Operation Lone Star.
  • Authored important legislation to protect private property rights from the adverse effects of rock quarries and other aggregate operations.
  • Co-founded the Texas Freedom Caucus, dedicated to advancing conservative principles in the state.
  • Defeated numerous detrimental legislative bills that posed a threat to conservative values.

As a citizen legislator and not a career politician, I decided to go home to my family and business and not run for re-election in 2020. Unfortunately, our current representative has chosen to put the Austin Swamp ahead of the constituents of District 19.

At the federal level, and in Texas, I have watched our already bloated government continue to overtax, overspend, and take away our God-given freedoms. We need PROVEN conservative leadership, not a rubber stamp in our Capitol, and this is why I have made the decision to run for office again.
